The Victron Energy Pre-charge cable is a genuine Victron accessory used to pre-charge the internal capacitors of an inverter, inverter/charger or MPPT charge controller through its DC terminals before the battery is connected.

Pre-charging in this way prevents arcing and sparking at the connection point when the battery is first connected, protecting both the equipment and the installer.
