The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 230V(new model) is a Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/charger — a combined inverter, battery charger and automatic transfer switch in a single unit, built for backup, off-grid and grid-parallel (ESS) systems and for keeping your power on during load-shedding.

It inverts 48V DC battery power into 5kVA of 230V AC, while its built-in 70A charger recharges your batteries from an AC input. When mains power is present it passes through to your loads and charges the batteries; when the supply fails it switches over to battery automatically. Victron’s PowerAssist and PowerControl features let it boost a limited supply and avoid overloading it.
